our story

The founding Trustees have been beneficiaries of educational assistance at some point of time in their lives.  This kind of intentional support was the most crucial factor in the attainment of their education goals. The Trustees believe that they are a living testament of the best of what can be achieved from a spirit of purposeful giving, one that is driven by an underlying humanitarian desire to demonstrate love for mankind by elevating each other. HEM has been set up for the advancement of such a spirit. The Association seeks to create opportunity for the less privileged, not only by sponsoring academic dreams but underwriting a path that leads to ultimate success. Our name draws inspiration from a first century AD story told of healing after a person had touched the hem of a garment. Similarly, the Trustees hope that you will partner with us in changing at least one life, and together build intellectual capacity for the future. HEM, a beacon of HOPE!
